UPDATE: Cleveland police find planter stolen from local florist, suspect arrested

CLEVELAND, TN (WRCB) -

UPDATE: A planter worth hundreds of dollars is back with its rightful owner today.

Angie Christenbury, owner of Flowers 'n' Things Florist, tells Channel 3, Cleveland police recovered a concrete planter that was taken Tuesday morning.

Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Evie West says the man seen in the video taking the plant has been arrested and charged with theft. She says a passenger riding with the suspect was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.

The suspect's name has not been released.

West says in addition to the planter, stolen landscaping items from various places were also found in the suspect's truck.

The incident was captured on surveillance cameras set up outside Christenbury's shop.

Christenbury says the planter and plants in it are worth more than $300.

Channel 3 is working to learn if any arrests have been made.

The Cleveland Police Department needs your help identifying a man caught on camera stealing from a local florist.

It happened at Flowers 'n' Things Florist on Mouse Creek Road NW shortly before 8:00 this morning.

The shop owner, Angie Christenbury, tells Channel 3, the planter along with the plants in it are valued at more than $300.

Cleveland police confirm they are handling the investigation. Police hope someone will recognize the man in the surveillance video.
