The Chattanooga FC took a tough loss Saturday night as they fell 2-1 in the second overtime against Chicago Fire in the Steinbrecher Cup Championship match.

CFC, who won the cup last year, looked to defend the title at Finley Stadium in front of 3,439 fans.

Chicago Fire took an early lead in the first half after Mark Segbers scored in the 22nd minute. Chicago Fire led 1-0 at halftime, but CFC quickly regrouped after the break and at the 48th minute Jon Finlay crossed a beautiful ball over to the goal box for striker Luke Winters to knock it in for the CFC score.

The two teams kept it tied 1-1 to the end of regulation, but then in the second overtime period Segbers scored another goal for Chicago Fire to give them the 2-1 win.
