Travis Harrison Drives in All Three Runs in Lookouts 3-2 Win

Posted: Updated:

(Lookouts Media Relations)- For the second straight night Travis Harrison delivered in the clutch for the Chattanooga Lookouts. Saturday night the third baseman drove in all three runs in the team's 3-2 win over the Tennessee Smokies.

Harrison kicked off his night in the third inning with a RBI single to bring home Granite who reached on a walk. Chattanooga held the one-run advantage until the fifth when Tennessee loaded the bases and plated a run on a double play ball. The Smokies took the lead an inning when Mark Zagunis belted a homer off of Aaron Slegers. Slegers only gave up those two runs on the night and finished the game striking out six batters in six innings.

With Slegers out of the game Corey Williams came on and shutdown the Smokies to keep the game close. The lefty only allowed two hits in two innings while recording three strikeouts. With the game still in reach in the eighth inning the Lookouts made their move. Ryan Walker led off the inning with a walk and moved to third on a DJ Hicks double. With two men on Harrison struck again, lacing a double to left field to give the Lookouts the 3-2 lead.

The 3-2 score would hold as Trevor Hildenberger entered the game in the ninth and blew through the visitors batting order to earn his fifth save of the season.

Sunday is the final game of the series between the Lookouts and the Smokies. Game time for the Sunday game is 6:15 p.m. Fans who come out will be able to catch post-game fireworks presented by Ace.
