Chattanooga street closures for Memorial Day weekend

Several street closures are planned for Memorial Day weekend around the city.

Friday, May 27

  • From 5:30 p.m. until 11:59 p.m. Market Street from 10th Street to 8th Street will be closed and M.L.K. Boulevard from Broad Street to Georgia Street will be closed to accommodate Nightfall concert series.

Sunday, May 29

  • From 6 a.m. until 8 p.m., Reggie White Boulevard will be closed from the entrance to the skate part to 19th Street to accommodate the Chattanooga Market.

Monday, May 30 (Memorial Day)

  • From 6 a.m. until 11 a.m., Dorchester Road from Barton Avenue to Sterling Avenue and the right northbound lane of Hixson Pike from Woodhill Drive to Minnekahda Place will be closed to accommodate the Chattanooga Chase. Runners are to be expected throughout the Riverview neighborhood for the annual Chattanooga Chase.

The Chattanooga Parking Authority has announced that downtown parking meters will not be enforced on Monday, May 30 in honor of Memorial Day. Parking in an unlawful area or manner is enforceable 24 hours and 7 days a week.
