Peyton Manning-themed beer to be released

You can probably guess which iconic athlete would be honored by brewers in both Denver and Indianapolis.

The “Oatmaha” collaboration between Factotum Brewhouse in Denver and Tow Yard Brewing in Indianapolis was first released in Indiana in late 2015. The Colorado version made its debut at Super Bowl 50, and on Friday, you can buy it in cans.

This probably needs no explanation, but the name of the beer comes from Peyton Manning’s iconic phrase “Omaha!” which he shouted constantly during games.

The beer has oats in honor of the horse mascots Peyton played for during his legendary career. It's brewed with Denver sage and Indianapolis corn. 

The breweries opted not to use Manning’s likeness for legal reasons.

Instead, the guy on the cans is Franklin County, Indiana Sheriff Clifford Bruns, who is a grandfather to Factotum’s owners.

The six-packs will go for $15, and are on sale at Factotum Brewhouse starting at 3 p.m. Friday. When they’re gone, they’re gone, the brewery wrote.
