GA Department of Labor to hold recruitment events

The Georgia Department of Labor is holding two recruitment events.

On May 18th, between 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. GDOL will hold recruiting for Vanguard National Trailer.

Vanguard National Trailer will be opening a new facility in August in the Dade County Industrial Park in Trenton where they will manufacture semi-trailers.

The recruitment will be held at the American Legion Post No. 106 located at 13205 North Main St. in Trenton. 

The company will be recruiting for the following positions: accounting manager, assembly-line associate, human resources manager, manufacturing supervisor, maintenance associate,   production support engineer, purchasing/buyer agent, and senior human resources generalist.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, all applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must also have a high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED). The accounting manager must also have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, while the human resources generalist must hold a bachelor’s degree.

The level of experience for the production workers ranges from three months for the assembly-line workers to four years for the maintenance associates.

GDOL will also helpl help fill up to 20 positions for Lookout Mountain Community Services, an organization that provides assistance to special-needs individuals.

The recruitment will be held Thursday, May 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m at the GDOL’s LaFayette Career Center located at 200 West Villanow St.  

The employer is recruiting nurses, peer counselors, and social services technicians.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, all applications must be at least 18 years old. Also, they must have at least a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED).

Experience and certification requirements will vary depending on the position. Those with previous experience working with adults with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI) and military veterans are encouraged to apply.
