UPDATE: The man who was shot on Tuesday afternoon in Murphy, North Carolina has died.
Murphy Police says, Kenneth R. Jones, 22, died early Wednesday morning due to the injuries he received from a gunshot wound to the head.
Brian Crisp is currently being held with no bond at the Polk County Sheriff's Office on multiple charges including, Flee to Elude Arrest, Driving While Impaired, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Reckless Driving. Crisp has been charged with Murder, Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury with Intent to Kill, Possession of a Firearm by Felon, and Discharging a Firearm in City Limits by Murphy Police.
Crisp will be extradited to Cherokee County pending a Governor's Warrant from the Cherokee County DA's office, due to him being incarcerated in another state.
Future charges are still pending for others involved during this incident that were present at the residence when the crime occurred.

According to jail records he was booked shortly after 3:30 pm.
He will be held in Polk County to await extradition to Cherokee County.
PREVIOUS STORY: Authorities in Murphy are looking for a man considered armed and dangerous following a shooting on Sunrise Street.
The shooting happened shortly after noon at 29 Sunrise Street. The victim, who was shot in the head, was transported to a Chattanooga hospital by Life Force.
According to Cherokee County Sheriff Derrick Palmer, multiple agencies are seeking a man named Brian Crisp for questioning in the shooting.
Palmer says Crisp should be considered “extremely armed and dangerous” and he may have fired a weapon after fleeing the scene. He was last seen driving a silver Volkswagen Beetle with North Carolina tags DMY9447. Anyone with information about Crisp’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
Palmer says his department is assisting the Murphy Police Department, which is investigating the case.
