MURPHY, NC (WRCB) -

Two North Carolina sex offenders are facing additional charges and are set to appear in front of the Superior Court in June.

Cherokee County Sheriff, Derrick Palmer announced the arrest of Arnold J. Godfrey, 36, from Murphy on April 28th and the May 3rd arrest of Gabriel R. Palmer, 39, from Murphy for violations of the North Carolina Sex Offender Registry.

Officials said both men had been arrested on indictments for violations of North Carolina Sex Offender Registry and had been released on bond pending their next Superior Court date. Both Godfrey and Palmer failed to come to court as required and warrants were issued.
