James and James Win the Diesel Off-Road Technologies 2016 C.B.A. April Bass Tournament

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – The team of Chuck James and Brad James edged out the field of 206 anglers catching a 5 bass limit weighing 28.16 pounds to win first place and $2,000.00 in the Diesel Off Road Technologies CBA Open, April Bass Tournament. This tournament was held Saturday, April 30th out of Chester Frost Boat Ramp.  

Chuck said “When we got to our first stop the bite was excellent. We caught most of our fish early trying a couple of different patterns. I would like to thank Soddy Custom Tackle for some great swim baits that helped us win this event”. 

David Craft and Stoney Johnson won the Duckett big fish of the tournament with a super giant large mouth that weighed 9.26 pounds, good for $100.00 and a new Hydrowave.

Second big bass of the tournament was a nice 8.37 pound large mouth that was caught by Damon Taylor and Justin Medley, good for $100.00. 

The team of A. J. Barnes and GavIn Ainslie were the highest finishers in the youth division.

This April event set new Chattanooga Bass Association records producing 17 five fish limits over 20 pounds.

1. Chuck James and Brad James - $2,000.00 - 28.16 lbs. 
2. Thomas Helton and Nathan Bell - $1,000.00 - 27.54 lbs. 
3. Steve Kite and Daniel Lewis - $850.00- 26.93 lbs. 
4. Seth Davis and Brent Butler - $800.00 - 26.75 lbs. 
5. Brent Hayes and David Hix - $700.00 - 25.68 lbs. 
6. Brian Wilson and Tom Brindle - $600.00 - 25.51 lbs. 
7. Haden Lamb and Trevor Porter - $500.00 - 24.67 lbs. 
8. David Craft and Stoney Johnson - $450.00 - 24.58 lbs.     . 
9. Andy Parkinson and Mitch Oliver - $400.00 - 24.25 lbs. 
10. Shane Frazier and Dallas George - $400.00 - 24.15 lbs.
 
The next C.B.A. day event will be May 14, 2016, out of Chester Frost Park.
