Good Tuesday. We seem to be getting an early jump on summer with temps running about 10 degrees above average this week.
Today will be warm and a bit humid with the high getting all the way to 86. A passing shower or storm is a slight possibility, but most of you will avoid the rain today.
If you felt a little rumbling overnight between Lafayette and Fort Payne, by the way, there was a 2.1 earthquake about 12.5miles WSW of Lafayette, GA. It took place at 1:32.
Wednesday will be about the same as today. Warm, humid air will rule as the high gets to 84.
Heat and humidity will be building through Thursday. A front moving through will bring in widespread showers and storms late Thursday morning through the afternoon. While the risk of severe weather does not look high, we will keep a close eye on things as this front will be moving through a somewhat unstable air mass. The high Thursday will reach 83.
I would love to say it will cool down behind the front, but we will actually warm up as skies clear out Friday. It will be mostly sunny with a high of 89.
The weekend will be a bit cooler compliments of rain showers and scattered storms both Saturday and Sunday.
