Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says John Brian Markee, 47, turned himself into Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Detectives after the Hamilton County Grand Jury handed down an indictment charging him with a count of theft over $10,000.

Police say the indictment came after a five month investigation conducted by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division.

Detectives investigated an allegation that Markee, who was the President of the Hidden Harbor Homeowner's Association, has embezzled monies from the association. Detectives gave their finding to the Hamilton County Grand Jury who returned the indictment.

Markee's bond is set at $5,000
