The Williamson County Planning Commission has voted to approve plans for a controversial housing project.

The Stephens Valley development calls for 800 homes near the Natchez Trace and Highway 100 in Davidson and Williamson counties.

A group of community members are protesting the development saying it will cause a traffic nightmare and ruin the town and country feel.

Even after Thursday night's vote, they group says they will continue protesting, especially on environmental grounds.
