UPDATE: Two people shot on Orchard Knob

UPDATE: Chattanooga police are investigating a shooting in the 1300 block of Orchard Knob Avenue around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Officials say a local hospital notified them that a victim suffering from two non-life-threatening injuries had transported himself to the hospital for personal treatment.

Upon investigation, officials learned that the victim was traveling north on Orchard Knob Ave., when he was shot by suspects who were traveling south on the same street.

The victim, 30-year-old Demetris Ellison, was struck twice in the back, and then transported himself to a local hospital.

Chattanooga police are asking anyone with information on this crime to call 423-698-2525.

The latest one happened around 9:30 p.m. on Orchard Knob.

Dispatch tells Channel 3 one victim showed up at the hospital another victim was found at a house on Orchard Knob.  

The extent of the injuries to either victim is unknown.
