UPDATE: Man shot in leg while watching two females fight

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

Chattanooga Police responded to 1200 block of Hendricks Street on a person shot call around 4 p.m. Saturday. 

Dispatch told Channel 3, the person was taken to a local hospital.  

Chattanooga Police report the victim was at the corner of Bernard Ave. and Hendricks St. where two females were fighting and a crowd had gathered.  While this was happening a maroon colored SUV pulled up and a man got out and shot toward the crowd. 

The victim was hit in the leg, his injury is considered non-life threatening. 

The suspect is described as a black male with a slim build and dark complexion, wearing a "boonie hat".
