Hixson beats Boyd Buchanan; Cleveland falls to Carolina Royals

Posted: Updated:

Saturday's sunny weather made it a great day to head to the ball park to watch some high school baseball. Hixson High School played host Saturday afternoon to a couple different games; the first featuring the Hixson Wildcats and the Boyd Buchanan Buccaneers.

Hixson got off to a quick start, up 5-1 in the 6th. Buccaneers had a hard time making things happen on offense. Wildcats' Brandon Carver finished with strikeout to end the game. Hixson wins 5-1 over Boyd Buchanan.

Following the first game, the Cleveland Blue Raiders took on the Carolina Royals from Charlotte North Carolina.

In the first, Hunter Oliver gets things going with the homer over left. Then Noah Sills with a shot to right center to score one. Blue raiders take a 3-0 lead after the first inning.

But Carolina jumped on it right away. Jacob Thompson drops one in right in for a base hit to start the Carolina rally. Sean Seale follows it up with a home run over center field. That ties it at three.

Royals go on to win 15-5 over Cleveland.
