UPDATE: Cleveland police arrest suspect in armed robbery

CLEVELAND, TN (WRCB) -

UPDATE: Cleveland police have arrested a suspect in Thursday night's armed robbery at Rite Aid on Paul Huff Parkway

Mark Mayfield, age 50, was taken into custody by Cleveland Police Department investigators Friday morning.

Mayfield was recently released from prison in 2014 for Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Robbery and Car Jacking.

He will be charged with Aggravated Robbery and Possession of a Weapon by Felon in connection with this crime, according to Sgt. Evie West, Public Information Officer for the Cleveland Police Department. 


PREVIOUS STORY: The Cleveland Police Department is searching for a suspect in an armed robbery.

It happened at the Rite Aid on Paul Huff Parkway around 10 p.m. Thursday night.

Officials say the suspect is a white male, and he drove off in a white truck.
