Nashville Judge Monte Watkins will hear the retrial of former Vanderbilt football players Cory Batey and Brandon Vandenburg.

A change of venue request was filed by the pair’s attorneys after they had their convictions thrown out by Judge Watkins because a juror in the case was not forthcoming.

The two former football players are charged in connection to the alleged rape of a female student in dorm on campus in 2013.
