ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia lawmakers failed to vote on several pieces of legislation before they adjourned for the year, but that hasn't stopped supporters and opponents.

The Senate failed to vote on a bill that would expand access to medical marijuana as the session came to a close on Thursday, but the bill's sponsor called for federal action on the issue.

Another bill failed to make it to the Senate floor that would have required all those appointed to government committees and boards to have U.S. citizenship.

In the House of Representatives, a bill that would make English the official state language didn't receive a vote.
