A twenty-month-old infant was found dead near a small goldfish pond in Crossville, Al Wednesday.
The 911 call was received about a possible drowning victim, and deputies and EMS were dispatched to County Road 29 in Crossville.
DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Andy Brown and Aroney Fire performed CPR on the toddler until the paramedics arrived, but they were unable to revive the infant, according to a news release.
The investigation is underway.
Removing the city as a trustee makes no one responsible for the up-keep of the cemetery.
