Chief Deputy: 'If you bring drugs to Murray County, you will get caught'

MURRAY COUNTY, GA (WRCB) -

The Murray County Sheriff's Office is cracking down on drug activity in the county.

Monday, Deputy Chief Brian Ingle tells Channel 3, a K-9 unit found 20-grams of meth.

It happened during a traffic stop near Highway 225 south over the weekend.

Other drug items were also seized.

One person was arrested, but due to the ongoing investigation. Chief Ingle says the department isn't releasing the name to keep from compromising the investigation.

Chief Ingle says the Sheriff's Office is actively seeking drug traffickers and has this warning: "If you buy or sale illegal drugs in Murray County, you WILL get caught!"

He says more information will be released pending the conclusion of the investigation.
