A score of 66 means work ahead for one restaurant
We do have a failing grade and that hasn't happened in quite some time.
The good news continues for a lot of restaurants and school cafeterias being inspected this week in Hamilton County.
But in going through a huge file of inspections, I did notice several restaurants at the lower end of the spectrum this week.
They are still passing above the 70 mark but could do better. We do have a failing grade and that hasn't happened in quite some time. With a score of 66, this restaurant has some work to do. Remember, they have ten days to correct all critical violations.
East Main Street is where you will find Taqueria Antigua Guatemala. There, the inspector found cold and hot food out of safe temperature range, no soap at the kitchen hand sink, raw chicken that was being prepared with other foods that could cause concern for cross contamination. The inspector had to call in a Spanish language interpreter to go over the violations. Once again, they have ten days to correct all their violations.
If you have a complaint about a pool, restaurant, health care facility, or day care, even the place where you workout call the Hamilton County Health Department Hot Line at 209-8110. someone will personally handle your complaint weekdays between 8:00am and 4:00pm.
Have a great weekend and enjoy your meal!
