TUSCALOOSA, AL (AP) - Alabama's parole board is refusing to release a man who was sentenced to two life terms plus 10,000 years for a triple killing in Tuscaloosa in 1976.

The Tuscaloosa News (http://bit.ly/24SHVFB ) reports the board on Tuesday denied parole to 74-year-old Dudley Wayne Kyzer.

Kyzer was convicted of killing his estranged wife, Emily Diane Kyzer; her mother, Eunice Barringer; and University of Alabama student Richard Pyron on Halloween 1976.

Kyzer was sentenced to the electric chair in 1977, but that conviction was overturned. He was re-tried in 1981 and sentenced to two life sentences plus 10,000 years. The sentence was once in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest in the world.

Kyzer has been denied parole 10 times. He can be considered for parole again in five years.
