When you see how these guys went into the convenience store in the overnight hours Monday, you know immediately why police want to get them off the streets.

The clerks were in the back offices of the Favorite Market on Browns Ferry Road when the duo arrived. They were armed, but for some reason did not go through with the crime. That makes this attempted robbery, but their intent and the way they wielded their weapons makes them a danger to us all. "Clearly, their intentions were not to purchase some chips or use the restroom," said Chattanooga Police Officer Mark Frazer. "These guys are looking to rob the place, but they lost their nerve or just didn't see the opportunity."

Pictures are pulled from store surveillance. You may not see much of either bad guy's face, but if you know them, maybe the hoodies will be familiar to you. "These characters come in," Off. Frazer explained, "and you'll see in the pictures they're masked up. One of them has got their hoodie cinched really tightly around their face. You know, if it weren't so dangerous it would be comical, but this is absolutely dangerous. These people have no idea what they're doing with these weapons. Clearly, they can't see where they're going. This is a danger to our community and I want these guys arrested."

Up to $1,000 is on the table for information you may have. It does not necessarily have to be their identification. You never know what bit may bring the case together. "Somebody knows these guys," Frazer added. "We arrested one of them. I'm looking for the guy that's in the lighter blue hoodie with it cinched up all around his face and he's holding what appears to be an assault rifle."
