UPDATE: Water service has been restored to the affected area in East Brainerd as of about 8:45pm. Complications between contractors led to some miscommunication of the time for the return of service that was expected before 4:00pm today.

PREVIOUS STORY: Tennessee American Water called residents of the East Brainerd area Monday to warn them of a water outage Monday from 8:00am to about 4:00pm.

Nearby residents may experience lower water pressure or even discolored water during the outage.
