Soddy Daisy man officially first offender added to TN animal abuse registry

SODDY DAISY, TN (WRCB) -

A Soddy Daisy man is now officially the first person to appear on the Tennessee's new online animal abuse registry.

Michael Henley was convicted of aggravated cruelty to animals for beating his dog to death with a shoe.

State law creating the online abuse registry took effect January 1, but clerical offices had 60 days to record and send convictions on to the state for posting.

Anyone can access the registry, see a picture of the offender and learn where they live.
