COLUMBUS, OH (WRCB) -- Ridgeland grad and Ohio State safety Vonn Bell will leave OSU a year early and enter the NFL Draft.
Bell said in a statement through OSU, "I have decided to make myself eligible and enter the 2016 NFL Draft."
Bell also said in that statement, "It has been an honor and a privilege to play at the best university in the country, to play for the best coach in the country, and to help bring the 2014 national championship to the Ohio State University and the best fans in the country."
Bell an All-American and a National Champion (2014) is projected as a first or second round draft pick by many and is rated as the second best safety in the draft.
In 2015 Bell broke up 9 passes with 2 interceptions. In 23 starts at OSU Bell had 9 interceptions.
On top of his AP All-American status he was also named to the All-Big10 Team.
