UPDATE: Copperhill issues boil water advisory for customers
After pumping issues came to light Tuesday, the city of Copperhill issued a boil water advisory to water customers.
UPDATE: The city of Copperhill is advising all Copperhill water customers to boil water before consuming or cooking.
The boil water advisory comes on the heels of the recent pump issues, where the city asking residents to conserve water.
Copperhill will have to haul water in from another location, according to the City Clerk's office.
Water customers should boil water for at least 3 minutes at a rapid boil.
PREVIOUS STORY: The City of Copperhill has issued a conserve water warning for all of the city's water customers until further notice.
According to a statement from the City Clerk's office, Copperhill is currently unable to pump a significant amount of water from the City of McCaysville.
Copperhill purchases much of its water supply from McCaysville, prompting the conservation warning to customers.
