(NBC News) - Keeping with her Christmas tradition, Jennifer Lawrence paid a surprise visit to Kosair Children's Hospital in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.

The "Joy" star delighted families as she greeted children and posed for pictures, which fans later shared on social media.

Dressed down in a grey t-shirt and jeans, Lawrence looked genuinely thrilled to be there, sporting a huge smile in all the photos.

Besides making the kids feel special and happy, Lawrence also managed to lift parents' spirits.

Veronica Tracy Styles, whose daughter, Bria, is receiving care at Kosair Children's Hospital, shared an enthusiastic update about the actress' surprise visit.

Per usual, people wrote that they were charmed by Lawrence's down-to-earth demeanor.

This was the third-consecutive year that the actress stopped by Kosair Children's Hospital to spread Christmas cheer. The 267-bed hospital provides care for sick children, "without regard to their families' ability to pay," its website says.

Sounds like good vibes all around!
