East Ridge police have arrested Rodney Maurice Hill, charging him with leaving scene of fatal crash.
UPDATE: East Ridge police arrested Rodney Maurice Hill Wednesday night, charged him with leaving scene of fatal crash from 2015.
He was released on $15,000 bond. His court date is March 22, 2016 in East Ridge City Court.

On December 26, 2015, Darrell Carter was walking eastbound on Ringgold Road. Carter was crossing Ringgold at Blackhawk Trail, when he was hit from behind. The vehicle that hit him determined to be a 2013 to 2015 Nissan Sentra.
Two days later, a 2015 Nissan Sentra was found in possession of Rodney M. Hill, in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. Hill reported to Fort Oglethorpe PD that he struck a deer. The Nissan was sent to the TBI Crime Lab in Nashville, and found to be a match with the suspect vehicle.
A warrant for Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Crash was issued for Rodney M. Hill, through the East Ridge City Court.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. in the 3300 block of Ringgold Road.
Police say the 51-year-old Darryl Carter was crossing the road when the car, traveling east, hit him.
He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
Police found parts of the car on the road and are says it's a Nissan Sentra that falls in model years 2013-2015.
