Rodent droppings, other cleaning violations give one eatery a 73 this week

HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -

The great news continues for a lot of restaurants and other businesses being inspected this week in Hamilton County. All of the scores again are very impressive with several perfect scores of 100. There is not a failing grade on this Friday, but there is a 73 which is getting close to that failing mark. Remember, a failing grade is any score lower than 70.

For this low score, we head on over to Cherokee Boulevard, where you will find Sluggo's North Vegetarian Café.

The inspector noticed several violations like the floors and walls need fixing, clean utensils on dirty shelves, food was being served at the wrong hot temperature, cleaning chemicals were being stored with beverages, rodent droppings in the dry storage area and kitchen employees were wiping their gloves on dirty aprons.

An employee must always change their gloves and wash their hands. They serve up a 73.

If you have complaint about a pool, restaurant, health care facility, or day care, even the place where you workout call the Hamilton County Health Department Hot Line at 423-209-8110. Someone there will personally handle your complaint weekdays between 8:00am and 4:00pm.

Have a great weekend and enjoy your meal!
