Rain ending and much cooler air moving in

Posted: Updated:

Good Thursday.  We can expect on and off showers through about 9am, then we will start to see the clouds gradually clearing out as we move through the afternoon.  We can also expect temps to be much lower this afternoon than yesterday.  We really won't warm much at all through the day with the afternoon high reaching 59.  Yesterday we managed a high of 70.  That 59 degree high, however is still about 6 degrees above average.

We will keep cooling down through the day Friday.  We will start with a low of 35, then climb to only 48 for the high.  Skies will be sunny.

The weekend will be chilly in the mornings, and nice in the afternoon.  Saturday the day will start with a low of 30.  The high will reach 50.  Sunday will be just as cool in the morning, but skies will be mostly sunny and the high will rebound to 57.

Winter officially begins Monday.  A warm and wet pattern will also begin Monday.  Monday afternoon we will have scattered showers with the high returning to the low 60s.  Rain showers will continue through at least Thursday with temps slowly climbing into the low 70s toward the end of the week.

Those dreaming of a white Christmas can pretty much abandon all hope.  Temps will be in the upper 60s and we may see some morning rain.

Good Thursday.  We have another bitterly cold start today with temps in the low to mid 10s this morning.  Fortunately, our winds are fairly calm this morning so wind chill won't be as much of an issue heading out.
