Man shot twice during morning home invasion

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

Police say a man was shot twice during a break-in at his home Wednesday morning.

It happened in the 1600 block of Greendale Way around 8:20 a.m.

The victim, 32-year-old Ricky Harper, told police three black males shot him twice in the right leg when he refused to meet their demands.

The suspects took cash and other items.

Harper drove himself to a hospital where he was treated and released.

This is the second home invasion in Chattanooga Wednesday. Police say a mother and her children were robbed at gunpoint in their home on South Germantown Road by three black males.
