Interstate 75 northbound in Bradley and McMinn Counties was closed early Tuesday after dense fog created potentially hazardous conditions for motorists.

Traffic was routed off the Interstate at Cleveland's Paul Huff Parkway and the road closed north towards Charleston.

THP troopers were stationed at the ramp gates until traffic flow was returned to normal.

The closure happened near the area where a 1990 crash of 99 vehicles claimed 12 lives.
