Hutcheson Medical Center reopens for patient services
A hearing is set for Thursday in Atlanta that may determine the fate of Hutcheson Medical Center.
UPDATE: Hutcheson Medical Center is now open for patient services, according to a press release.
“We are very excited to re-open the doors and start providing healthcare to the Fort Oglethorpe area,” explained Boykin Robinson, M.D., ApolloMD Divisional President. “We look forward to partnering with the community to develop a sustainable care model that will serve the region for years to come.”
Details surrounding the strategic vision for the hospital are still being solidified and will be announced at a later date.
PREVIOUS STORY: Hutcheson’s trustee has reached an agreement with the state to extend the hospital license through December 24.
According to Catoosa County Attorney Skip Patty, who had a representative in Atlanta for today’s hearing, those involved believe they’ll reach a purchase deal with Valor Bridge LLC.
A hearing is set for Thursday in Atlanta. Patty says it’s possible if the deal is struck before then, Valor Bridge could take over and start operation sooner.
