Good Monday. A WIND ADVISORY is in effect until 7pm eastern. Winds will blow from the southwest at 15-25 mph with higher gusts. In the mountains, winds will blow at 20-30 mph. If that's not enough, we can expect periods of heavy rain through the morning as well. Widespread we will have about .50" to 1" of rain during the morning commute. The afternoon high will get to about 66.
Tonight will be much cooler as skies clear out. Temps will drop into the low to mid 40s. It will be very nice through the day with sunshine and a high of 65.
Wednesday will start out chilly with a low of about 40. Clouds will build through the day as another front moves through. The high will reach 66, then we will have scattered showers moving in Wednesday night into Thursday morning. We will clear back out Thursday afternoon and another blast of cool air will begin to filter in behind the front. The high Thursday will stay at about 60.
Temps will cool rapidly Thursday night. The low will drop to 35, and the high will climb to only 52 with scattered clouds.
We will be even colder over the weekend. Lows will drop into the upper 20s Saturday and Sunday morning. Highs for the weekend will be in the low 50s. Skies will be mostly sunny both days.
Winter officially begins Monday the 21st. Right now it looks as though temps will range from 33 in the morning to 56 in the afternoon to start the season.
