UPDATE: Man questioned in Wisconsin murder stopped in Catoosa County

FORT OGLETHORPE, GA (WRCB) -

UPDATE: A man wanted for questioning in an Wisconsin murder was questioned by was interviewed by Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office investigators at the request of the Pierce County Wisconsin Sheriff’s Office, according to Sheriff Gary Sisk.

The drive was interviewed by Sheriff’s Office investigators at the request of the Pierce County Wisconsin Sheriff’s Office, 

The vehicle was processed by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Sheriff’s Office investigators

At the request of the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, the manand his vehicle were later released, according to Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk.


PREVIOUS STORY: North Georgia authorities have detained a person wanted for questioning in connection to a Kentucky homicide.

Officers with the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department and Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call to be on the lookout for a pickup truck Tuesday shortly before noon.

Chief David Eubanks tells Channel 3 officers were able to use OnStar technology to pinpoint the truck’s location. Officers responded to the Sunrise Market on Mack Smith Road where eyewitnesses describe seeing officers surround the truck with weapons drawn.

Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk tells Channel 3 his department assisted an out of town agency in the case and is interviewing people involved. He says additional details will be released after those interviews are complete.
