Good Monday. The average high this time of year is 53 degrees. It will be a long time before we are even close to that as spring like weather settles into the Tennessee Valley.
Today we are staring in the upper 30s and low 40s. By this afternoon, we will see a mix of sun and clouds and a high of 61. Tonight will cool a bit, but still be tolerable with lows in the mid to upper 30s.
Tuesday and Wednesday we will have highs in the upper 50s with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.
We stay rain free and warm Thursday as the high reaches 61 again.
By Friday, a cold front will be approaching from the west. That will do a couple of things. First, ahead of a cold front, it is typical for south winds to kick in and temps to climb even more. That will happen Friday. The high Friday afternoon will get all the way up to 68 degrees! Skies will also be mostly cloudy as the front pushes in some clouds through the day.
Saturday will be the warmest day of the forecast. We will start the day with a low of 55. Remember, the average HIGH for that date is 53! Temps will climb under mostly cloudy skies to 69 in the afternoon. The record high for the date is 72 set in 1931.
The cold front will break through Sunday, bringing rain Sunday afternoon after a high of 67.
Monday will be a little cooler behind the front. The low will be in the upper 40s and the high will reach 58. That's cooler, but still way warmer than average.
