Flood warnings through the day, and cool, dry air on the horizon

Posted: Updated:

Good Wednesday.  FLOOD WARNINGS are in effect for area creeks, rivers and streams through the day.  They will continue to rise to near or just above flood stage this afternoon into this evening.  You may also encounter areas of water over a number of roadways this morning.

The rains will continue to move east.  By late morning the rain will be gone, and we should have a nice afternoon.  West winds will keep temps in the upper 50s as skies clear out this afternoon.  Tonight, the winds shift and we will have a light north breeze bringing in MUCH colder air tonight.  Thursday morning will sport lows in the low to mid 30s around the area.  It will be jacket weather all day with sunny skies and a high of only 50 in the afternoon..

Friday morning will be even colder with lows in the upper 20s and low 30s.  Friday will also be sunny in the afternoon with a high of 54.

Saturday will start just as cold as Friday, but we should see a pleasant afternoon as skies remain clear and the high rebounds back to 59 degrees.

Sunday will be seasonably cool and dry as well with a low of 37 and a high of 59.

Monday we may see a few more showers rolling through.
