Fire at an abandoned garage, no injuries reported

Chattanooga Fire Department received a fire call at 10:13 P.M. Saturday and responded to 2330 Center Street with four fire companies. 

Once fire fighters arrived on scene, they witnessed a fully detached two car garage fully engulfed with fire. 

Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack while searching for anyone inside the garage. Firefighters said no one was found in the garage at the time of the fire, but there were signs of people possibly entering or exiting the garage. 

When other companies arrived on the scene, firefighters attacked the flames from multiple directions. 

The fire was under control in about 30 minutes. The garage was determined to be a total loss. 

Estimated dollar loss amount is about $15,000 dollars. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
