UPDATE: Fire reported at McKee Foods in Collegedale

COLLEGEDALE, TN (WRCB) -

UPDATE:

According to fire officials, a propane mixer used for baking, malfunctioned and caught fire. Firefighters worked quickly due to three 20,000 gallon propane tanks were about 30 feet away from the fire.

The fire was contained within 25 minutes. Employees evacuated plant 2 without injury. Damages are listed at $15,000.

Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department requested a mutual aid response for additional units. Those fire departments include: Cleveland Fire Department and Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department.

No injuries were reported. McKee Foods is known for making Little Debbie snacks.

Firefighters work a fire at McKee Foods. According to Collegedale dispatch,  first responders were called out to the company at 6:40 Saturday evening.

No word on if there are any injuries. Officials say as of now the fire is out.
