An early morning fire destroyed a home in Catoosa County.

Firefighters say around 3:30 this morning a neighbor reported seeing smoke from the home in 100 block of Nawaka Avenue.

Officials on the scene say there was smoke when they arrived and flames soon followed.

It took three different departments to put out the fire.

No one was home at the time of the blaze. Firefighters believe the people living there were at work.

They say it is a total loss.

No word on what caused the fire. The Red Cross is stepping in to help the people who lived there.
