Red Bank Police Department announced an arrest in a burglary and attempted murder of a resident at 110 Hendricks Boulevard, the burglary occurred on November 20th.
Around 10 p.m. on November 20th, officers responded to a call of a stabbing at 135 Hendricks Blvd. The investigation led officers to 110 Hendricks Blvd., where they located a second stabbing victim and determined that both stabbings occurred at that location.
Officers determined that Deovany Perez, 22, had broken out a front window of the residence at 110 Hendricks Blvd., entered the residence and began assaulting a man by stabbing him multiple times with a knife. During the assault, another resident of the house heard the commotion, entered the room and began defending the victim. During the scuffle, Perez was disarmed and stabbed with the same knife. Perez was able to flee the scene and drive to 135 Hendricks Blvd. where he asked for assistance. Both Perez and the victim were transported by Hamilton County EMS to a local hospital for treatment.
Tuesday, around 11:30 a.m., Perez was arrested after his release from the hospital and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
Deovany Perez has been charged with attempted First Degree Murder and Aggravated Burglary. Bond for both charges has been set at $175,000.
