Warming trend through Thanksgiving

Posted: Updated:

Good Tuesday.  After another chilly start, we will be noticeably warmer this afternoon.  Skies will be mostly sunny as we climb to 59 degrees, 7 degrees warmer than yesterday.  Tonight we will have a few clouds drifting through with the low overnight dropping to 36.

Wednesday should be a pretty good travel day around the region.  Skies will be partly cloudy, and Chattanooga will reach a high of 59 again.

Thanksgiving Day will be a mild one.  We will start with a low in the low 40s with the highs climbing to about 64.  We will be partly cloudy through the day.

Friday through Sunday we will have a cold front stalling to our west.  It will continue to allow warm air to stream in as highs stay in the upper 50s and low 60s.  Clouds will move in ahead of the front, so look for fairly overcast skies through the weekend as well.  While we may get a stray shower or two,the rain chance only looks to be about 20% at best right now for your weekend.

The front will finally break through Monday bringing in widespread rain to the area.
