Good Tuesday. Today will be warm and windy as winds ahead of a front blow from the southeast at 10-20 mph. A WIND ADVISORY is in effect for many of the mountainous areas this evening through Wednesday. Winds during that time should range from 20-30 mph with gusts to 45. In the valley, winds will blow from the southeast at 10-20mph. Temps today will be in the upper 60s, and skies will be mostly cloudy. I won't rule out a stray sprinkle, but the chance will only be 20%.
Tonight will remain cloudy and breezy. We may see a few overnight showers in advance of the main line of rain. Lows tonight will drop into the mid 50s.
Wednesday, a line of storms will move through. We should see the line moving over the plateau by 1pm. It will move through the valley and north Ga. from 1-3pm, and it will push into the Blue Ridge between 3 and 5pm. Rainfall amounts will be about 2" widespread with locally higher amounts. Some localized areas of flash flooding are possible. Wednesday's high will reach 66.
Thursday will be mild and sunny with a high of 65. Friday the cooler air begins to filter in. Friday will start with a low of 43, and climb to only 58 in the afternoon with sunny skies.
The weekend will see a mix of sun and clouds. Lows over the weekend will be in the mid to upper 30s. The high Saturday will reach 58, and Sunday will only reach 52.
