Plane makes emergency landing on interstate after leaving Rhea County
A plane that flew out of Rhea County Monday made an emergency landing on an interstate in North Carolina.
The owner of the plane tells NBC, the plane started "sputtering" during the flight to Siler City.
He says the Davidson County Airport was too far away. So, he followed his pilot training and landed on Interstate 85.
Three people were on the plane.
No one was injured.
