Soddy-Daisy Middle School honors heroes at annual Veterans Day program

SODDY-DAISY, TN (WRCB) -

Soddy-Daisy Middle School honored the men and women of the military at their 20th annual Veterans Day program. Teacher Judy Mulkey has helped organize the program since the beginning, according to principal Blake Freeman. "We are proud to honor the outstanding service they have provided our nation," Freeman said. Various students spoke, sung and performed tributes to Veterans.  The school also presented a slide show, spotlighting school employees and their family members who have served in various branches of the military.

    Hamilton County School Board member Joe Galloway will not seek a third term as District 6 representative.   Galloway, a longtime Lookout Valley teacher and coach, told Eyewitness News, "I will continue to remain active in the schools, but I have grandchildren who are growing up, and I don't want to miss any of their events."
