UPDATE: Missing Lafayette Woman Has Been Found

UPDATE:   Misty Louise Wood has been found safe, according to Lafayette Police Dept.

Wood was reported missing from her residence around 1 p.m. Saturday. She was described by family members as having trouble communicating with others.

"Investigators quickly added her into the missing person's database, due to her disability," said Capt. Stacey Meeks, Lafayette Police Dept.

Wood was found around 9 o clock Sunday morning, in good condition.


PREVIOUS STORY: The LaFayette Police Department is asking for help in locating Misty Louise Wood who has been reported missing from her residence on Daugherty Street around 1pm Saturday after arguing with family. Misty is described by relatives as having trouble communicating with others. Due to her disability Misty has been entered as a missing person by LaFayette Police Department. Her mother said she was last seen on Chattanooga Street around 3pm Saturday.

Misty is described as a white female, 40 years old, height 5’7”, 230lbs, brown hair, blue eyes, last seen wearing a red shirt and pink pajama bottoms.
