UPDATE: North Murray High School threat investigated, prompting parent concerns
UPDATE: Parents with students at North Murray High School were alerted to a potential safety issue Wednesday morning.
Mike Tuck, the Director of Administrative Services for the Murray County School District tells Channel 3 that he received a phone call from Murray County Sheriff Gary Langford explaining that a student at the school had received an anonymous text message that there was going to be a shooting Wednesday at NMHS.
Deputies were dispatched and the threat was investigated.
The student who had received were not able to determine the origin of the message when questioned .
A mass text was sent out to parents explaining the threat had been made, investigated and determined to be not credible.
All doors are locked and secured and additional security officers are on the campus today.
