Cleveland man faces attempted murder charge in connection to stabbing
A Cleveland man faces charges of attempted first degree murder and aggravated assault in connection to a stabbing last month on Rossville Boulevard, according to Chattanooga police.
Matthew Sisson, 35, told Chattanooga police that he was in the 4500 block of Rossville Boulevard when the attack happened. He said he never assaulted anyone, according to an affidavit of complaint. As of Tuesday, he remained in jail on a $400,000 bond.
James Gann was stabbed multiple times in the abdomen as well as once in the neck striking the main artery. Police were able to retrieve surveillance video which showed the attack. Several witnesses were also able to identify a suspect.
The weapon was found a few blocks away from where the attack happened. Gann identified Sisson as the attacker when he was shown a photo line-up.
Sisson is scheduled to appear before Hamilton County General Sessions Court Judge Christine Sell Nov. 3.
