UPDATE: Police have taken an armed and dangerous suspect into custody in Riceville.

Chattanooga police, the US Marshals, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the 12th Judicial Drug Task Force, and deputies McMinn County Sheriff’s Office arrested Shane Albertson.

Police say that Albertson had multiple warrants in Knox and McMinn counties in Tennessee, as well as in Florida. He has repeatedly fled, both on foot and in a vehicle. 

They also say that Albertson is a validated Seargent at Arms/Enforcer for the Aryan Brotherhood.

Albertson is considered armed and dangerous.

Police list Albertson’s physical description as:

  • Age: 24  
  • Sex: Male
  • Race: Biracial
  • Hair: Brown 
  • Eyes: Blue/Gray
  • Height: 5’9”
  • Weight: 180 

Albertson is wanted by several law enforcement agencies for crimes including:

  • Possession of Controlled Substance
  • Theft
  • Unlawful Possession of a Weapon

Albertson evaded arrest by McMinn Co. Sheriff’s Office on foot in the Ooltewah area on October 25, 2015 after a short vehicle pursuit. 

Police say he is considered armed and dangerous. He has made statements that he will not go back to jail. 

Authorities are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of Shane Albertson.
